Thanksgiving with the Rainbow Valley Lodge
My parents really had no choice but for me to design the holiday card this year (and for all years to come) for their business in Montana, the Rainbow Valley Lodge (thanks mom and dad!). They were more than happy to support my business and I had a great time sketching up my memories of the ‘Rainbow, where I spent 20 years of my life. My dad really wanted my to create more of a Thanksgiving card (than Christmas) that featured the uniqueness of the lodge, Montana and included a thank you message to all their loyal guests. Something really special; I knew a letterpress card was just the ticket! Having sent more traditional holiday cards in the past (no offense Leanin’ Tree), this Thanksgiving card had a heart-felt message inside, written by them, and images that hopefully will connect with the much deserved recipients and remind them of the 18″ brown trout they caught on the Madison that summer. Oh, and the BBQ. Strange, right? Well, not for my pops who spends most nights of the summer at the grill, making his famous ribs and chops for his clients. I had to include it! Anyways, I am looking forward to working on more Montana-inspired projects in the very near future! And I bet you’ll be able to find them for sale at the lodge : ) Enjoy!
